The laboratory will give you a report with a number called picocuries per liter (pCi/L). This is the number you use to determine if mitigation should be done. The EPA says if it is above 4 pCi/L you should fix the home, and if it is between 2 pCi/L and 4 pCi/L you should seriously consider fixing the home.
